College Test Prep: SAT/PSAT, ACT
Taking the PSAT: The PSAT is a great opportunity for students to experience standardized testing for college admissions before the SAT or ACT. Preparing for the PSAT allows students to understand their full testing potential and increases the probability of scoring well on the SAT/ACT on the first try. Also, top PSAT scores can open the door to scholarships for college!
Taking the SAT/ACT: A good SAT/ACT score is a key to gaining admissions to the college of your choice! While both test scores are typically used in the college admissions process, their differences are significant enough to suit different testing and learning styles. At Hillview Prep, our Smart Score Assessment enables us to evaluate which test format a student may score higher on.
K-12 Test Prep: HSPT, ISEE/SSAT
Taking the HSPT for entering Catholic High Schools: Looking to get into a Catholic high school? Then you must take the HSPT. The HSPT is a 5 section test evaluating a student’s proficiency in verbal skills, quantitative skills, math skills, reading skills, and language skills.
Taking the ISEE/SSAT for entering Private/Boarding K-12 Schools: Like the SAT and ACT, the ISEE and SSAT have noticeable differences that may suit different learning and testing styles. While ISEE and SSAT scores are both typically used for admissions to private and boarding schools, some schools may prefer one or the other.
The ISEE and SSAT have lower, middle, upper level tests for students who are looking to gain admission to private/boarding primary, junior high, or high schools. Contact us to see which test you are required to reach your goal!
